Land of mists and fogs, of bogs and marshes.

A land of magic, lay lines, stone circles and druids.

Who knows?

Certainly GW were never able to make up their minds it seems. The mist and fogs weren't just literal but figurative as well, obscuring the true nature and even the true shape of this mysterious isle. Or is it groups of isles?

Some times you get an idea in your head and you aren't satisfied till you get something down on paper, or in this case Blogger.

I'm about to mention hoarding figures in the next paragraph, this is said hoard ;)
It occurred to me, while I hoarded figures for potential games in the 2nd Edition version of Lustria, that if you were playing games in the jingly jungly world of the Slann, that you'd be hampered a bit by the need to have blocks of infantry. You'd be better off in skirmish formation or having figures treated individually (which is something I do a lot of when playing RT). Then it occurred to me that that would be a great way to play Warhammer generally.....and then!...of can already do that! Mordhiem!

Battle in the badlands

Lord Frunbil had searched for years. The stories of the famous gem mine that had once belonged to his family were legendary. The thought of all that wealth hidden away somewhere in the badlands had kept him awake for many a night. At last though he had found the entrance to the abandoned works. Or at least that's what he hoped. By the time he and his band of hardy dwarf adventurers had reached their goal it was already late in the afternoon. They decided there was time to set up the demolition charges that would clear the entrance but that they would wait till the next day to set them off. They settled down to an excited but well earned sleep.

They woke the next day to here unfamiliar noises in the valley below their camp.

Scouting around in the fog they realised that they were far from alone

Death comes to orc town

Pandrang wasn't happy. It was Orctober and his boys hadn't been invited to the greenskin gathering round the fat idols for years. He was fed up with his boys being sneered, or called scabbies, or being beaten to death with leftovers. This time he was going to face up to that big bully, Tugrug and turn up at the fat Idols no matter what. Just to be on the safe side he had bribed some Black orcs with some humie bones and promised them more when they bashed up Tugrugs boys.

Things didn't go well.
