Just a quick update for those of you who don't do Facebook. I've built the 8 rooms and 9 corridor sections.
I did some of the interior detailing yesterday.
I've played around with different layouts...
Just so you get the idea of whats possible.
Today I spent some time doing the external detailing. Just loads of odd shaped bits of wood glued randomly all over the pieces.
And here's what it looks like so far. I need to attack some of it with the sander the I'll take it home over the holidays and get it painted.
Wow, what's the plan for what it's going to be?
ReplyDeleteIgnore me, found it!
DeleteOk, I will.
DeleteTa, tis mighty impressive
DeleteAs soon as i get it painted we'll arrange some games
DeleteLooks great, I like modular terrain, never ending possibilities.
ReplyDeleteCuriosity, do I recall from elsewhere that the MDF with the grooves is sheets that come pre-groved? Or do you groove it yourself with a router or some such? Gorgeous gorgeous stuff.
ReplyDeleteYeah, the sheet is pre-grooved. it's meant as sheet that can be shaped on curved surfaces, usually called flexi-mdf or some such. It's pretty handy stuff.
DeleteThat makes good sense. It does look quite handy. And you could make circular buildings with it as well, apparently. Thank you. I'll pass that information along to my friend.
