The Orcs get some time in the sun


As promised, some decent pictures of the growing Orc army. First up are the Black Orcs. I fine old mix of classic sculpts from Bob Olley, Trish and Alley Morrison, Kev Adams and Nick Lund. I love this bunch, they look properly menacing but motley as fuck. I really want to do another unit to match it, more deep diving into old school sculpts!



A classic unit of old school orcs with a command set from Heartbreaker miniatures (it’s still Kev Adams so I don’t care!)


The classic Harboth’s Orc Archers for some ranged support for the boys.


Another unit of boys. This one is entirely old citadel figures including the command. A nice chunky unit of 24 from the 80’s ranges.


 And finally for today, a bit of artillery. A Rock Chukka and Spear Throwa, again by Kev Adams from the late 80’s.

    Some proper old orcs there.
    Green skins, Red eyes, Stripy trousers and grinning banners, what is not to like?

    Are they based for TOW though? :P

    These are ace. And orc units should be 'motley as fuck'. Never could get use to the Middlehammer monopose orc units. Orcs need a bit of anarchy in the ranks.
