First Figure of the year - Necromunda

It's been a slow start to the year painting wise, I've got loads of stuff started but just never felt the enthusiasm to sit down and get them completed. I've got a squad of Squats on the go, a gang of Techs, a couple of Dunlendings and a Vampire all sitting on a shelf giving the evil eye, wanting finishing. But instead of completing any of these I went out and bought some new figures on Saturday morning and by Sunday morning I had finished the first one.

I plucked for the New Orlocks for Necromunda:Underhive as I figured that I should try and get some games in and I quite fancied at least one of the new gangs.

I went for a play on the Hazard Stripe look that seems pretty prevalent in many parts of 40K and seemed suitable for a such an Industrially based House.

The rest of the gang have had their flesh and their Metal work done so It's just a case of working my way through them. I'll do a couple at a time to try and avoid my enthusiasm being sapped by batch painting. I've gone fairly Ganger heavy as I prefer having bodies rather than equipment. So I've got a Leader, a Champion, 2 Juves and 6 gangers (3 with Combat shotguns and 3 with Autoguns).

In addition I figured that I might use Jonis Borson (remember him?) as the basis for a little Bounty Hunting gang as the rules in Gang War 2 seem pretty ripe for some adoption. So I used some of teh spare Orlock and Hybrid bits and put together this guy.

Along with a 3rd guy I started an age back but left in a drawer, this gives me a nice little basis for working out a small elite gang.

I'll get back to you with more when I get them painted.

  1. That guy is a complete success. A whole gang of the liked of him is just what we need.

  2. I'm on line with Asslessman on this : a gang of guys like your bounty hunter should be a delight.

  3. I really like the naturalistic browns and cream with the hazard stripes - I much prefer them to the blue denim wearing studio colours. These guys really will be great, and the bounty hunters have a lot of promise to them :)

  4. Should always start with 2 champs as thry and your leader are the money makers. Going champ down will limit your earnings

  7. Your feet are so tiny in that last pic it makes you look as tall as axiom.

  8. Oh man - I was somewhat skeptical of the new Necromunda set -- but now you've turned me into a believer. Exquisite work, WP!

  9. That's a great color scheme. It looks really great on the new sculpt, very organic.
