The Last of the Brothers Dim

I finally got my paws on the last of the Nick Bibby C28 giants thanks to Mr Furious on the Oldhammer Forum (your Orcs are on the way!).

This guy is either Bottle Snortle or BottSnortle depending which advert you believe.

He's got the Gumsnapher head but his weapon was missing unfortunately. I replaced it with a part from the current plastic Giant which is a nice touch of new complimenting aclassic.

He's carrying a cask of tripleX strength dwarven booze under his arm and after Antipixi and I'd experience with drunken Giants I figured I'd paint him as highly inebriated. His nose is nice and red like every old soak you've ever seen nursing his umpteenth half and half and the miners club. I figured a Giant who is that pished is going to get into his fair share of fist fight so I gave him a nice shiny black eye as well. He looks as if he's just about to pass out and fall on some poor unsuspecting infantry.

So I give you Smouldergaze Ninefingers, Gumsnapper Bottsnortle and Rockabully Witherwattle. Three giant 'brothers' who have been wondering around the badlands and have crossed into the Border Princes looking for food and booze.

I probably use them as part of my Hobgoblin army as 3 Giants are going look awesome wandering about with hordes of green skins at their feet. I also fancy putting on a game where Giant Slayers can test their mettle against the big dumb numpties. I'm thinking of a system of moves written down on cards that you can use to counter the giants random attacks but if you run out of moves be prepared to get twatted by a big log!

  4. Lovely work on these, 3 is a magic number and you have Irished up this guy so nicely that it will surely attract the luck they need to be an effective Warhammer force ;).

  5. O my goodness, but these look bloody lovely.

The red nose and black eye add loads to an already characterful sculpt. Great work mate.

  6. Just excellent! Love the brushwork on BottSnottle who has to be my fave out of the trio - so hard to pick a favourite though...

  7. Yes...fight the giants by themselves! It is so much fun!!! Be sure to have plenty of meat shields. ;)

  8. Ace work! I love the striped pants and unhealthy skin -- but best of all is the boozy expression. You have done Nick Bibby proud. (Sadly, when I look in the mirror, what I see looks a lot like that giant).

  9. Those are some truly lovely giants. I love the work you did on his nose. I think I'll keep my distance from that bit of brotherly love. Truly fantastic!
