It really was like i was 12 and just back from town with a brand new blister pack that my pocket money had paid for. No way was I keeping them in the blister!
These are just lush - they look really ragged and scabrous, whilst being bright and eye-catching at the same time. I'm not entirely sure how you've managed that!
My personal preference is for Jes Goodwin's crisper, cleaner style, but I can see why you like these - they're oozing individuality and character.
Until I painted them I would have agreed that the Goodwin ones, especially the unreleased ones, are the top hole scavvies but now that they are in colour I have to say that these guys are my favourite.
They are easier to get than the unreleased Goodwin ones as these were actually on sale to the public. I think originally at Gamesday '90 in the states and then for a short time after but I've no idea how many were actually sold. They pop-up on ebay occasionally. There are one or two on their now but usually for daft BIN prices.
Is anybody else having difficulty viewing this post (i'm told the comments show but nothing else) if so let me know in reply to this and I'll sort out another post.
not only did you paint them in the blink of an eye but they're superb on top of that. Noone can beat you on scavvies now !
ReplyDeleteNo one beats my scavvies!!!!
DeleteREALLY like the forth figure!
ReplyDeleteIs Scavvy porn like the 'Goblin porn' I used to find in bushes in the park when I was a kid?
Usually found in rubbish bins or round the back of the sports centre
DeleteSuperb love the skin tone on them suits them perfect!
ReplyDeleteI loved doing the skin tones, it makes a change form having to be realistic with them. It's great fun.
DeleteThat 4th sculpt was always my fav of the skavvies. Just looks so gormless.
ReplyDeleteFantastic work mate.
He is very gormless, I may even call him Gorm the Lesser.
DeleteYeah, they look tops Whiskey!
ReplyDeleteMust have been a strange feeling popping open that blister? A bit like re-living a small part of your youth all over again :)

DeleteSuperb! Number one and two for me. Oozing character, and you've done a cracking job on colourful but tatty.
ReplyDeleteI thought one and two at first as well and thats why I painted them in that order but they all won me over in the end.
