Supplemental pirate plus painting progress pertaining to premises for pugilistics!

As I was so disappointed with Suzi I decided to replace her in the Pirate crews ranks. After having a look at the models I had available I popped the question about which one to use on the Faceache group. Opinion was mixed but somebody suggested using them both so that's exactly what I have done. Two new members of the crew which brings me up a nice dirty dozen!

And here they all are attempting to sneak somewhere really dangerous (or wealthy).
This means that out of my original target of 30 figures i've now completed 13. However one has been kicked off the team and another two have been added which means my total has gone up to 31 and i've got 12 that i'll be using for BOYL14. This gives me 19 to go! I've still got two servitors to go along with this lot (can't have the boys doing any heavy lifting while there is shooting to be done) plus a couple of extras for silliness. Servitors next I reckon.

I also brought the first of the buildings home and give it a really quick and dirty paint job. I've still to name the two stores but I'm sure 'Day-Glo Tans' and 'Big Yello Cabs' will be opening soon. Still waiting on my resin bits from various companies. (stares through the letter box looking for postie).

Talking of cabs, my Zinge bits arrived and were promptly glued onto my Jalopy. Heavy stubber turret next then I need to decide if my passenger is going to be a permanent fixture.

  1. The idea of all those pirates 'sneaking' fills me with glee. How are you planning to use the pirates for BOYL14?

    1. Cheetor and I have a game of Rogue Trader planned for the saturday morning followed by more random silliness throughout the weekend. If you go back through the posts I think the germ of the idea was the Abdul Goldberg post.

  2. Awesome looking crew there! Is there going to be an Abdul Goldburg though?!

    All the best!

    1. We figured we didn't want to be responsible for unmasking senior Goldberg so part of the silliness will be the media's relentless search for the infamous Abdul!

    1. I didn't intend to make them bright, but it is part of their charm. Cheers.

  4. The new guys look great and the buildings have a very old school, Judge Dredd RPG look to them. They remind me a bit of a Games Day Dredd display game covered in a White Dwarf issue ninety-something. Really nice.

Your quality and turnover of output is very impressive. Cool stuff.

  5. I basically looked at what was on the market and decided I wasn't paying 30 quid a building when I could build them myself. I wasn't intentionally going for old school but it just kind of happened that way! All the best accidents are happy!
