Yo ho ho and a bottle of synth-rum

Got another couple of pirates painted this evening which means that I broken the back of this little mob.

And here they are together with the boss.  I'll try and get the last three plebs done this weekend which just leaves me with the two 'characters' (although they are all turning out quite characterful!) for the actual pirates. After that I've got 4 more figs for the game with Cheetor. I reckon maybe I'll be finished in just over a week!

  1. I like the riot of colours though I detect a blue theme tying them together. They look really good.

  3. You are ripping through these and without compromising on quality either. Fantastic work. It will be a treat to get a game in against these swabs.

I have been working on something suitable for our game over the last few days actually, but it wont be ready for a couple of days yet. I have a quite a few other projects that require my attention before I get onto my opponents for this game. If they look half as good as these guys then we should have a really nice looking, strongly thematic old school game going :)

  4. Really superb! Like above this makes me really itch to get after my own slowly growing pirate mob.

  6. Just caught up with the blog and holy hell man, have you been busy! Great looking figures and games coming out in the last month. Very inspiring. I'll do my best not to fall too far behind again. You should get an extra roll or something for having a fully painted chaos warband.

  7. The pirates are terrific. I've never seen those models painted so well; they're much better than the original paint jobs in White Dwarf.

  8. Really characterful bunch, and the standard to which they are painted is high as ever! Good luck on your next encounter!

  9. Thanks guys, I can only put it down to these figs being a joy to paint! I'm really enjoying my painting nowadays and the feedback through the blog really spurs me on to do a decent job. I think this is a semi-forgotten range of figs and bringing them to life is a lot of fun!
